The Chicago Sunday Evening Club is pleased to announce that Dr. John Fuder and Richard Porter are the 2023 recipients of the Clifford Barnes Award, in recognition of individuals whose faith or religious heritage has motivated them to a lifetime of service to Chicago and beyond.
The Chicago Sunday Evening Club began the Barnes Awards in 2019. Clifford Barnes was a remarkable man… businessman, clergyman, philanthropist, and social activist. He founded the Sunday Evening Club in 1908 and co-founded the Chicago Community Trust in 1915. He chaired both committees from their inception until his death in 1944.
